Mechanics Needed in Surry, VA

Day & Zimmermann is hiring for experienced Mechanics at Surry Nuclear Power Plant in Surry, Virginia for Spring Outage work starting in April.

Job Description/Duties:

• Take apart and put together various valves.
• Maintain tools and equipment.
• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.
• Safely and effectively use hand and power tools.
• Climb and work from ladders and scaffolding.
• Use administrative documents, procedures, and data sheets/forms.
• Perform duties with minimum supervision.
• Meet essential functions on the D&Z ADA Specification form.
• Read and understand blueprints and drawings.

Qualifications/Required Skills:

• 3 years of Valve or Refueling experience.
• Pass a nuclear background check and drug screening.
• High School Diploma or GED.
