Day & Zimmermann is hiring experienced Carpenter Journeymen at Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant in Glen Rose, Texas for Fall Outage work.

Job Description/Duties:

• Determine various types of scaffolding required for project(s) in accordance with procedures, documents, and data sheets/forms.
• Set-up and remove temporary and permanent facility structures (i.e., coupler, ring pole, welded buck, field built, and suspend scaffolds).
• Use hand and power tools in addition to measuring devices for straight and angled cuts.
• Read and understand blueprint drawings.
• Climb ladders and scaffolding.
• Lift a minimum of 50 pounds overhead.
• Wear fall protection harness and build scaffolds.

Qualifications/Required Skills:

• 3-5 years of Industrial and/or Power Plant experience.
• Experience with one or more scaffolding types (i.e., metal decking, plywood, buck, tube lock, and Safeway).
• Pass written exam and demonstrate building proficiency.
• High School diploma or GED.
