Experience performing Industrial Projects required (Chemical, Pulp & Paper, Heavy Industrial)
Safely plan, layout, install, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus and control equipment per NEC and customer specifications
Plan and install new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and codes with minimal to no oversight
Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit, using tools, such as hacksaws, porta-bands, pipe threaders and pipe benders.
Pull wire through conduit, assisted by Electrician Helper(s).
Splice wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, using wire strippers, twisting or otherwise splicing wires together and applying tape or terminal caps.
Connect wiring to power equipment, using hand tools.
Install control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels, fastening in place with screws or bolts, using hand tools and power tools.
Connect power cables to equipment, such as motor, and install grounding leads.
Test continuity of circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components, using test instruments, such as ohmmeter, megger and oscilloscope.
Observe functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and needs for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
Perform other duties as necessary
