Analyzer Technician

Summary

Per Sé Group is hiring multiple Analyzer Technicians for a long-term contract at our client’s petroleum refinery in the SW suburbs of Chicago, IL.  This refinery is a strategic supplier of transportation fuels in the upper Midwest and has a total crude oil capacity of 177,000 barrels per day and manufactures several grades of gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and high-quality hydrocarbon solvents used in the production of paints, adhesives, and coatings.  This refinery is committed to safety and environmental stewardship and is an industry leader who continues to be recognized year after year with numerous safety awards.  Pay range:  $65-$70/hour +$700/week per diem

Responsibilities

·       Work in a refinery environment performing calibration, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining process control instruments

·       Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot/repair flow meters along with control valves (temperature transmitters, pressure transmitters, level transmitters, digital valve positioners, LEL/H2S meters) for routine and non-routine maintenance

·       Preventative maintenance and frequent inspections on instrumentation

·       Disassemble and reassemble equipment for inspection, testing, and repair

·       Field communication using HART protocol, instrument and valve configurations

Desired skills and expertise

·       5+ years of Instrumentation/Analyzer experience in a refinery setting

·       5+ years of experience in electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic fields in refining setting with Delta V, PLC, and similar electrical equipment

·       Ability to utilize pneumatic along with electronic testing and calibration equipment

·       Proficiency in using multi-meters, as well as electronic and pneumatic calibration equipment and other related testing equipment

·       Ability to read and understand instrument loop diagrams, as well as P & ID's

·       Ability to identify and calibrate various other instrumentation such as Mag Meters, Coriolis Meters, Vortex Meters

·       Foundation Fielbus, Profibus, Analyzers (GC, O2, NIR, Area Gas Detector) experience

·       Experience Maintaining Control Valves
