Civil Superintendent

Summary

Per Sé Group is in search of a Solar Civil Superintendent for a contract assignment at our client’s utility-scale solar farm project in Arizona.  Our client is a U.S.-based renewable energy company that owns and operates an expanding portfolio of about 2,700MW.  Their operational fleet stretches from California to New Jersey and their wind, solar, and energy storage capabilities continue to grow through ongoing investment in their existing portfolio and their active pursuit of new development and acquisition opportunities.  Pay range:  $60-$75/hr + $950/week per diem. 

Responsibilities

·       Responsible for coordination of the construction on the project

·       Coordinates compliance with the schedule, safety, cost, and quality decisions in conjunction with the Project Field Manager

·       Manages and coordinates all on-site subcontractor activities for compliance with the CPM schedule and monitors and enforces compliance with subcontract requirements; Implements the Project Construction Execution Plan

·       Monitors and reports on construction productivity and schedule performance (including trends) to the Project Field Manager and Field Project Controls Manager

·       Coordinates with Field Material Manager to review all site procured materials for acceptance

·       Reviews and approves equipment rentals (if supplied by company) and coordinates shared use of this equipment with subcontractors

·       Monitors all extra work authorization requests, back charges, and supplier and subcontractor progress/final payment requests for acceptance and is responsible for subordinates providing the timely tracking information to Project Controls to support the change management system

·       Monitors and controls overtime by his subordinates and subcontractors

·       Writes the construction portion of the client and construction monthly report

·       Coordinates with the Field Engineers or home office engineers on engineering deliverables

·       Responsible for the effective management of construction Manufacturer's Service Technicians and the timesheet tracking

Desired skills and expertise

·       Understanding of the major commercial and deliverable terms of construction subcontracts and experience managing projects within these terms

·       8+ years’ experience of Civil oversight experience

·       Previous wind or solar construction understanding and knowledge

·       Experience as an owner’s representative, overseeing contractors and reporting to project management team

·       OSHA 30 Certification
