Job Description

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Construction Manager with a Journeyman Electrician background for a project in Austin, Texas.

  • PAY: $35-$40/hr 
  • PER DIEM: $90/Per Diem
  • SCHEDULE: 50+ hrs/wk (Day and Night Shift) Overtime available
  • START DATE: ASAP
  • DURATION: 1+ year

Responsibilities:

-Experience in construction
- Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components for various projects
- Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts using MicroStation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of electrical systems with mechanical components
- Debug and troubleshoot electrical issues during the development and testing phases
- Conduct signal processing and analysis to optimize system performance
- Utilize Simulink to model and simulate electrical systems
- Program and configure logic controllers using C++ and FPGA technology
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards such as NEC (National Electrical Code)
- Stay updated on advancements in electrical engineering technologies and techniques

Qualifications:

  • Pass a background check and drug screen
  • Experience in construction with Journeyman Electrician experience
  • 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer
  • OSHA 10 issued within the past 5 years

Experience:

  • Construction management: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Electrical engineering: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Electrical: 5 years (Preferred)

Preferred:

- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices
- Proficiency in MicroStation for creating schematics and layouts
- Mechanical knowledge to collaborate effectively with mechanical engineers
- Experience in debugging and troubleshooting electrical systems
- Familiarity with signal processing techniques and tools
- Knowledge of programming languages such as C++ for logic controller programming
- Experience with FPGA technology for hardware implementation
- Understanding of NEC regulations for electrical system design and installation
- Familiarity with surface mount technology for PCB design
