WFG Industrial has been retained in a recruiting capacity by our client.  We are currently seeking candidates for Dirt Equipment Operator. This is in the Louisiana area.

 

Title:  Dirt Equipment Operator (Heavy equipment OP)

 

Need to be experienced in Kobelco 260 excavator, Komatsu 290 excavator, John Deer 470 excavator, Komatsu D51 dozer, Case 1150 Dozer, etc.; or similar sizes by other equip manufacturers.

Responsibilities:

Loading and offloading rocks, dirt, concrete, debris, and other materials from heavy equipment.

Operate equipment but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, front-end loaders, track loaders, skid-steers, rollers, mixers and motor graders to move and stabilize earth.

Always observing stipulated safety codes.

Communicating with coworkers to elucidate project specifications, as needed.

Reporting injuries and other accidents to the line manager.

Assist other craft during operating downtime.

Responsible for safety equipment inspections, reporting needed repairs and assisting in repairs if needed.

Physical Demands:

Employee must maintain physical condition appropriate for the performance of their assigned duties.

Must be able to climb, bend, stoop, squat, sit, kneel, stand, walk and work on rough terrain, work at heights, lift overhead as well as push and pull.

Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting and lifting.

May require working in cramped or uncomfortable positions.

Employees will also be required to sit for long periods of time for training related to safety, quality, leadership, work practice, and site-specific issues.

Pay is 25hr with OT.
