Job Description

Trade Team is looking for Shipyard Superintendents for Honolulu, Hawaii.

MUST have shipyard experience and supervisory experience.

MUST pass a 10 year background check.

Must be willing to relocate to Honolulu, Hawaii.

The following Superintendents are needed:

  • Structural Superintendent
  • Assistant Structural Superintendent
  • Assistant Pipe Superintendent
  • Assistant Mechanical Superintendent
  • Assistant Coatings Superintendent

Superintendent $115K - $135K with a 20% Incentive program (can earn up to 20% of annual income)

Assistant Superintendent $82K - $100K with at 10% Incentive program (can earn up to 10% of annual income)

Relocation assistance is available depending on each candidate’s situation $10K - $15K. 30-Day temp housing and 30-Day temp vehicle assistance.


High School Diploma or equivalent work experience is required.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches
  • SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW experience is required.
  • Experience with US Navy Ship repair/NAVSEA regulation is required.
  • AWS certification, ABS/NAVSEA certifications is preferred
  • Associates degree in Industrial Trades/Applied Science is preferred
  • Proficient with Word and Excel
  • Must be flexible in work hours
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in shipyard heavy industry is required
  • Extensive knowledge of ship repair processes.
  • Knowledge of managing Federal Contracts
  • Ability to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Interpersonal skills, good attitude, and exceptional work ethic
  • Work requires establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.

Assistant Superintendent:

Experience with US Navy ship repair/NAVSEA regulations

Ten years shipyard heavy industry work experience or similar

Five years’ experience supervising union workers

High school diploma or equivalent
