(Distribution and Transmission Line Construction Projects)
Job Summary:
Estimators are responsible for creating, organizing, and completing cost analysis and estimates for distribution and transmission line construction projects with a focus on distribution lines. This position will require close coordination and constant communication with the pre-construction and operations teams. Typical projects include distribution system installation, relocation and replacement projects in public and private right-of-way easements. Estimators are expected to have the ability to work independently.

Required Qualifications:
· Minimum of +2 years’ experience estimating distribution line construction projects.
· Advanced understanding of estimating fundamentals.
· Ability to read and understand construction contracts and drawings.
· Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills.
· Must be able to work efficiently with tight deadlines.
· Ability to factor in potential risk factors such as terrain, weather, labor availability, equipment availability, material availability and overall difficulty of the proposed work scope.
· Must be willing to occasionally travel throughout our company’s footprint for pre-bid meetings, site walks, and active job site visits.
· Must have a general understanding of Fixed Price, Time & Materials, Cost Plus and Unit Price bids.
· Knowledge of computers and software applications with MS office application proficiency.
· Working knowledge of estimating software programs (B2W Estimate is recommended)
· High commitment to achieving goals and plans.
