Set up and initiate safe work procedures regarding electrical equipment. Coordinate training of electrical staff. Coordinate electrical workload with maintenance planners. Learn and understand new equipment as required. Coordinate electrical shutdowns, IR scans, power factor correction monitoring. Ensure the efficient operation of plant equipment and services, involving cost control, safety and product quality. Analyze current and future opportunities for cost savings. Involvement with Lean Manufacturing projects. Acts as a technical resource and coach to crew. Extremely responsive to any production downtime experienced in the plant due to maintenance/mechanical issues. Extensive plant floor presence, guiding and directing maintenance team activities. Ensure machinery and equipment is maintained. Work closely with the Planner to prepare a solid, effective plant to execute jobs. Weekly verification of PMs, work orders, and completion of same according to requirements. Modify the PMs to reduce the downtime of the machines. Review of completed work of both maintenance team and contractors for quality and integrity of work. Implement corrective actions and preservation actions to improve reliability of equipment.


  • Electrical Journeyman License
    • Preferred states: Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming
  • Highschool diploma or GED
  • 1 year experience of meat processing industry
  • 2 year minimum experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
