Seam Welder- Maritime

Craft and Technical Solutions is an established Marine and Industrial Staffing Company with offices all over the country. We partner with businesses as well as jobseekers to place individuals into positions efficiently. We are currently in need of 1st Class Marine Seam Welders to join our team in Marinette and Sturgeon Bay, WI.

Pay rate: $34/hour with **Weekly Per Diem**

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform seam welding operations on ship components including hull plates, bulkheads, and structural frames.
• Use MIG, TIG, or arc welding techniques based on project requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding procedures, and technical drawings.
• Set up and operate automatic or semi-automatic seam welding equipment.
• Inspect and ensure weld quality meets industry and company standards.
• Conduct pre-weld and post-weld inspections to ensure structural integrity.
• Follow safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
• Maintain welding equipment and report any malfunctions or safety issues.
• Collaborate with engineers, fitters, and other trades to ensure proper fit-up and assembly.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a seam welder, preferably in a shipyard or marine environment.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and welding specifications.
• Knowledge of various metals (steel, aluminum, etc.) and their welding requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Physical ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in various weather conditions.

Work Environment:

• Exposure to loud noises, fumes, and heavy machinery.
• May require working in cramped or elevated areas aboard vessels.
• Rotating shifts and overtime may be required based on project demands.
