General Responsibilities:
The Field Installation Leadman will spend up to 95% of their time on the road providing hands on supervision to the crew installing TTX systems at our customer sites. Must ensure successful installation and start-up of equipment through preparation, planning and the execution of effective field installation service and on-site installation management.
- As a working supervisor you will be highly skilled in specific areas such as layout, welding, fitting, assembly, electrical wiring, pipefitting, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Maintain all records of field activities, subcontractor activities, and customer interactions, problems and problem resolution.
- Submit verbal and written reports to TTX personnel as directed.
- Perform pre-shipment functions that include equipment teardown and preparation for shipment, accumulation and packing of installation parts and equipment.
- Effectively communicate and coordinate with Electrical and Plumbing Leadmen and Project Management
- Assist in logistical planning and coordination of personnel, vehicles, equipment, supplies and vendors needed during installation.
- Perform TTX plant supervision functions as required.
Requirements:
- A high school degree or equivalency is required. A technical degree in welding or high school or post secondary technical education coursework is preferred.
- Experience in MIG welding required. TIG welding is a plus. Work with steel and aluminum.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Must take a TTX weld test
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Math skills including basic math, fractions, decimals, algebra, and geometry.
- Ability to precisely read a tape measure
- Knowledgeable on a variety of metal working tools and safe use of these tools.
- Attention to detail to perform precise work, often with straight edges and minimal flaws. Ability to see details and characteristics of the joint and detect changes in molten metal flows.
- Must be able to operate manual or semiautomatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal standard operation and safety instructions.
- Aptitude to become proficient at using welding gages to indicate parts and verify dimensions of a work piece.
- Ability to complete assigned projects within required timeline
- Ability to cooperate with TTX management and accept instructions
- A positive attitude and willingness to work with all fellow co-workers
- Must maintain acceptable attendance and arrive at work early enough to be ready to work at the start of your shift.
- Follow safety procedures and reporting requirements, including participating in all required safety training.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites for system installations, service, and warranty work.
- Ability to travel internationally.
- Safe use of ladders, powered lifts, and comfortable doing elevated work in a harness.
- Must be able to stand for a minimum of up to 11 hours per day, with frequent kneeling, squatting, crawling or climbing ladders.
