Interviewing Reinforcing Ironworker (Rebar) Journeyman for our Bison Project in Ray, North Dakota,

• Practice safe work habits at all times and promote safety to others.
• Strong working knowledge of and experience working with rotating equipment.
• Perform quality work within a set schedule as determined by the project specifications.
• Accountable for all assigned tools and materials at all times.
• Assist immediate supervisor with future tasks to be completed.
• Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Determine the number, sizes, shapes, and locations of reinforcing rods from blueprints, sketches, or oral instructions.
• Selects type and size of reinforcing iron, rebar, and related materials according to the job specifications.
• Selects and places rods in forms, spacing and fastening them together using wire and pliers.
• Plans sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other construction workers.
• Cuts reinforcing iron and rebar to required lengths using hacksaw, bar cutters, or cutting torch according to site specific and industry standards.
• May reinforce concrete with wire mess.
• May weld reinforcing bars together using arc-welding equipment.
• Marks cutting and assembly lines on materials, using pencil, chalk, or marking gauge.
• Ensure proper permits have been obtained and can read & understand all permits.
• Prioritize tasks according to job schedule and work sequence.
• Coordinate work with other crafts, co-workers, and other contractors on the job.
• Assemble and station tools and materials needed to optimal and safe place ready for use as required.
• Assist in concrete placement, industry carpentry, and site layout as the need arises.
• Track all components and materials for project tasks.
• Must be willing to provide guidance and on the job training and mentoring to other crafts.
