MIG Welder / Fabricator

Overview

We are seeking MIG Welders/Fabricators who are dedicated, detail-oriented, and looking for stable, consistent, year-round work. Overtime is always available but is not mandatory, with the potential to work up to 60 hours per week and additional hours when approved by a supervisor.

This position offers $22/hour starting pay, with a 30-day performance review and the opportunity to increase pay to $24/hour, plus $100 per day worked in per diem.

Pay & Schedule

• Starting Pay: $22/hour

• 30-Day Review: Opportunity to increase pay to $24/hour based on performance

• Per Diem: $100/day worked

• Hours: Up to 60 hours per week

• Additional hours may be available with supervisor approval

• Overtime is available but not mandatory

• Must be willing to work 1st or 2nd shift

• Long-term, year-round employment

Responsibilities

• Weld I-beam frames and fuel tanks in flat, vertical, and overhead positions

• Work with sheet metal ranging from 10 gauge up to 1/2 inch

• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, grind, and bolt component parts to achieve required configurations and welding positions

• Position and secure workpieces using hoists, cranes, wire and banding machines, or hand tools

• Inspect products and equipment for defects or malfunctions

• Read and interpret blueprints

• Use measuring devices, including tape measures

• Troubleshoot problems and identify solutions

• Maintain a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and safety

• Work effectively with team members and communicate clearly

Requirements

• MIG/GMAW welding experience preferred

• Must be able to read and understand blueprints — this is extremely important

• Must be able to accurately read measuring devices, including a tape measure

• Must be able to troubleshoot and problem-solve

• Must be highly motivated and dependable

• Strong attention to detail and a drive to succeed

• Must communicate and work well with others

• Must successfully pass a written competency test

• Must successfully complete a simple weld test on the first day

• Must pass a pre-employment physical

• Must pass a 5-panel drug test

• Must pass a standard background check
