Electrical Assembler

Overview

We are seeking Electrical Assemblers to join our Electrical Assembly department and assist in the building of large-scale electrical enclosures.

The company is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL heavy-gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures, and modular metal enclosures designed to house fully equipped electrical distribution and control equipment.

As a result of continued growth, we are looking for motivated, dependable individuals who are detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in stable, long-term, year-round work.

Pay & Schedule

  • Starting Pay: $22/hour
  • 30-Day Performance Review: Opportunity to increase pay to $24/hour based on performance
  • Per Diem: $100/day worked
  • Hours: Up to 60 hours per week
  • Additional hours may be available with supervisor approval
  • Must be willing to work 1st or 2nd shift
  • Long-term, year-round work
  • Overtime is available based on workload and supervisor approval

Responsibilities

  • Pre-assemble electrical kits using inventoried components and fabricated components
  • Perform light fabrication work, including:
    • Drilling
    • Forming
    • Wire stripping
    • Crimping
  • Perform material handling duties
  • Assist with the installation of various electrical equipment
  • Work closely with Electrical Engineering, Production Supervisors, and Team Leads
  • Follow blueprints, bills of materials, and work instructions as skills are developed
  • Maintain quality and accuracy throughout the assembly process
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area

Requirements

  • Detail-oriented with the ability and willingness to learn how to read blueprints and bills of materials
  • Ability and willingness to learn manufacturing processes
  • Able to accurately read measuring devices, including a tape measure
  • Able to troubleshoot and problem-solve
  • Highly motivated with a desire to learn and advance
  • Able to communicate and work effectively with others
  • Must successfully pass a written competency test on the first day
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical
  • Must pass a 5-panel drug test
  • Must pass a standard background check
  • Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to climb ladders
