Structural Welder (Pulse Mig) Opportunity in Goose Creek SC!

PMQS is looking for Structural Welder (Pulse Arc) for Goose Creek, South Carolina!

Must have applicable experience working in a Shipyard within the past 3 years.

High School diploma or equivalent and 5 years additional education and/or related experience; Apprentice graduate/ Associate's Degree in relevant discipline and 3 years of related experience. May require certification.

Must be a U.S. Citizen

$38/hour - $45/hour (once you pass the pulse arc test)
$120 day per diem

Work will be performed in a fabrication shop

Performs welding processes on aluminum and steel parts and assemblies to required
tolerances using welding metals and metal alloys. Determines layouts and welds parts and
assemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications. May monitor and verify
quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

High School diploma or equivalent and 5 years additional education and/or related
experience;

Apprentice graduate/ Associate Degree in relevant discipline and 3 years of
related experience. 

Testing
1. Pulse 2G, 3G, 4G plate test. 1 inch thickness with a backgouge. (VT and Side Bend)
2. Spray 2G plate test. 3/4 thickness. (VT and Side Bend)
3. FCAW 2G, 3G, 4G plate test. 3/4 thickness with backing. (VT and Side Bend)

Hours: Initial 2 weeks the schedule is 5 - 12's Monday - Friday 6 am - 6 pm. After that, the shift will be 3:30 pm - 12 am, (2nd shift). The shift is to support production and can change.
