These are long-term, direct-hire roles. We are not looking for short-term contractors. A current resume is required. Applications without a resume or with outdated resumes will not be considered.
Direct-hire work standing the building up and installing cooling, pipe, steel, and heavy equipment. This is the first ~0–70% of the job; structure and mechanical install, not finish work.
Plant, refinery, power, or manufacturing experience is a strong fit.
Qualified candidates will be invited to a phone screen and must be able to attend an onsite interview. Travel will be provided if needed. Hiring events are held on weekends.
SpaceX is building the infrastructure for the future — reusable rockets and Starship for access to space, Starlink for global connectivity, and a major AI platform after integrating xAI. The combined company is focused on making life multiplanetary while advancing intelligence that helps us understand the universe.
The Memphis Colossus facilities are the terrestrial AI compute backbone of that vision. They are among the largest and fastest-built AI training clusters on Earth. They power Grok, and we also lease capacity to other leading AI companies. That work generates revenue today, accelerates our models, and is the proving ground for a longer-term goal: orbital data centers — putting AI compute in space, where energy and cooling constraints are radically different.
In short: the work in Memphis is high-impact infrastructure at the intersection of launch, connectivity, and AI. The people we hire now will build it.
