$38/hour - $45/hour (once you pass the pulse arc test)
$120 day per diem

Hours: Initial 2 weeks the schedule is 5 - 12's Monday - Friday 6 am - 6 pm. After that,  will work 3:30 pm - 12 am, (2nd shift). The shift is to support production and can change. 

Must have applicable experience working in a Shipyard within the past 3 years.

High School diploma or equivalent and 5 years additional education and/or related experience; Apprentice graduate/ Associate's Degree in relevant discipline and 3 years of related experience. May require certification.

Must pass HFT & BGC
Performs welding processes on aluminum and steel parts and assemblies to required tolerances using welding metals and metal alloys. Determines layouts and welds parts and assemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

 

Testing
 

1. 1 inch thick double bevel pulse test
2. ¾ inch thick spray test with backing strip
3. ¾ inch thick ceramic backing T joint
4. 1 inch thick ceramic backing pulse test
5. UT Test both plates 1 inch thick T joint with multiple stop and starts
