Instrument Fitter

Instrument Fitter — Cape Canaveral, FL

We are hiring experienced Instrument Fitters for a large industrial construction project in Cape Canaveral.

Pay and Schedule

• $125 daily per diem available

• Five 12-hour shifts per week

• 6:00 AM–6:00 PM

• Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday

• Minimum three-month contract with potential to extend beyond one year

• Day + Night shift available

What You’ll Do

• Measure, route, bend, and install ¼-inch to 1-inch stainless tubing

• Complete skid tubing, field runs, and system tie-ins

• Install tube fittings, flanges, Graylocs, and piping

• Perform piping, rigging, bolt-up, and general mechanical installation

• Install Unistrut, pipe supports, and frames

• Read drawings and determine tubing layouts

• Use torque wrenches, mag drills, levels, squares, and other hand and power tools

• Maintain system cleanliness and prevent foreign-object contamination

• Work outdoors and at heights as needed

Requirements

• At least three years of hands-on tube bending or tube fitting experience

• Strong stainless-steel tubing, measuring, and layout skills

• Experience working with ¼-inch to 1-inch tubing

• Ability to read drawings and independently complete field layouts

• Experience with fittings such as Swagelok, AN/JIC, MS/Boss, NPT, or similar

• Willingness to assist with piping, rigging, bolt-up, and other work as needed

• Comfortable working long shifts in an active outdoor construction environment

• Ability to complete a hands-on tube routing and bending assessment on the first day

Experience with flare tubing, medium- or high-pressure systems, Autoclave tubing, aerospace, cryogenic systems, skid fabrication, Grayloc assemblies, or industrial process piping is highly preferred.
