Project Overview
Large-scale industrial construction project involving installation of automated material handling systems. The project requires a dedicated, full-time Project Safety Manager because of workforce size (150+ personnel on site) and ongoing high-risk operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the site-specific safety program
- Lead hazard analysis, pre-task planning, risk assessments, inspections, and incident investigations
- Ensure implementation and compliance across these hazard controls:
- Fall hazard control / working at heights
- Mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs)
- Confined spaces
- Electrical safety
- Road access and site traffic
- Hot work and fire protection
- Hoisting and rigging
- Steel erection
- Ground penetration, excavation, and trenching
- PPE
- Coordinate with project leadership and owner safety teams on site safety performance
- Mentor subcontractor safety representatives and engage craft leadership on safe work execution
- Escalate safety concerns and track corrective actions to closure
- Report safety metrics, KPIs, and program updates to project leadership

- Industrial, manufacturing, distribution, or mission-critical construction experience preferred
