Pipe Welder – TIG / Stainless Steel

Location: Brownsville, TX
Pay: $35/hr | OT: $52.50/hr
Per Diem: $125/day
Schedule: 60–72 hours/week | Day and night shifts
Employment Type: 13-Week Contract-to-Hire

We are hiring experienced TIG Pipe Welders for a large-scale data center construction project in Brownsville, TX. Candidates must have strong hands-on experience with TIG/GTAW stainless steel pipe welding, particularly thin-wall stainless piping requiring precision and heat control.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG/GTAW welding on stainless steel piping.

• Weld thin-wall and light-gauge stainless pipe.

• Prepare, fit, and weld piping according to specifications.

• Read welding drawings and blueprints.

• Work alongside pipefitters to complete piping installations.

• Maintain weld quality and safety standards.

Requirements

• Hands-on TIG/GTAW stainless steel pipe welding experience required.

• Experience welding thin-wall stainless steel piping.

• Strong understanding of weld preparation, fit-up, and heat control.

• Ability to read welding drawings and specifications.

• Ability to pass a weld qualification test.

• Availability to work 60–72 hours per week.

Preferred: Experience with industrial process piping, data centers, semiconductor facilities, or high-purity stainless piping.
