Updated need – 30 Ironworkers and Ironworker Apprentices wanted. JGM is hiring experienced Ironworkers with 5+ years in the trade for an indoor structural retrofit project in Little Rock, AR. This is a great, exciting job: all work is indoors, the pace is steady, and the scope is heavy on material handling along with rigging and detail work.
Project Details
- Pay: $28–$32/hr DOE + overtime
- Per Diem: $120/day – work 6 days, get paid 7 days of per diem ($840/week)
- Schedule: 6 days/week – (6) 10-hour shifts (60 hours/week)
- Project Type: Structural retrofit – 100% indoor work
- Start Date: ASAP
- Openings: 30 total across Ironworkers and Apprentices
Responsibilities
- Perform structural steel bolting, connecting, and detail work
- Rig, position, and secure structural steel components
- Handle, stage, and move steel and materials throughout the work area
- Perform retrofit work on existing structures – reinforcing, modifying, and installing new steel
- Read and interpret structural drawings
- Operate aerial lifts and material handling equipment
- Guide and support Apprentices on the crew
- Follow all site safety requirements
Requirements
- 5+ years of ironworking or structural steel experience (carpentry experience is also a plus)
- Able to read structural drawings
- Ability to work the full 6x10 project schedule
- OSHA 10 preferred; aerial lift experience a plus
- Welding experience is a plus
