Traveling Pipefitters (Nationwide Openings)

Job Overview

KLS is actively hiring experienced Traveling Pipefitters for multiple industrial and commercial projects across the country. These roles are ideal for skilled tradespeople who are comfortable traveling and working consistent hours on large-scale job sites.

You’ll be responsible for installing, assembling, and maintaining piping systems in demanding environments, working alongside experienced crews on long-term projects.

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: Approximately $32/hour
• Per Diem: $120/day worked
• Hours: 60+ hours per week (overtime available)

Note: Pay and per diem may vary depending on project location, scope, and experience level.

Key Responsibilities

• Fit, assemble, and install carbon and stainless steel piping systems
• Perform layout, alignment, and installation based on isometric drawings
• Cut, bevel, and prep pipe for welding and installation
• Work with hangers, supports, and pipe routing systems
• Assist with hydro testing and system checks
• Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and job specifications
• Maintain jobsite safety standards and follow OSHA regulations

Travel Requirements

• Must be able to travel independently to job sites nationwide
• Assignments may vary in duration depending on project needs
• Referral groups are welcome, but each candidate must qualify individually

Minimum Qualifications

• OSHA 10 Certification (required)
• Proven experience with carbon and stainless pipe systems
• Ability to read blueprints and perform fit-up work
• Strong understanding of industrial piping standards and practices
• Two verifiable professional references

Additional Requirements

• Ability to pass background check and drug screening (project dependent)
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have basic tools of the trade
• Ability to work extended hours in industrial environments
• Comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces if required
