Crane Operator | Midwest Projects | Travel Opportunity
Kodiak is placing Traveling Crane Operators on active construction projects across the Midwest. If you are certified, available to travel, and ready to work, we want to hear from you.
What You Will Do
- Operate and control cranes safely on active construction job sites
- Position, hoist, and move materials and loads as directed by ground crew and spotters
- Perform pre and post shift equipment inspections and document findings
- Maintain accurate daily operational logs
- Respond to hand and verbal signals from riggers and signal persons
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and escalate as needed
- Follow all site safety protocols and OSHA standards
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL
- NCCCO certification or ability to obtain prior to start
- OSHA 10 card or certificate (must be able to present at interview)
- Minimum one to two years of crane operation experience
- Working knowledge of OSHA standards and ASME B30 rigging and lifting guidelines
- Two verifiable work references
- Must pass background check and drug screen
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 30 certification
- Certifications across multiple crane types
- Rigging and signal person certification
- Experience with heavy haul and permitted loads
- Clean driving record
