Per Diem: $115/day, paid 7 days/week when all scheduled hours are worked

Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Form Carpenters for a construction project in Pecos, Texas. This position is responsible for building, installing, aligning, and stripping concrete forms while maintaining accurate layout, quality workmanship, and safe work practices.

Qualified candidates should have previous concrete formwork experience, be comfortable working from blueprints and construction drawings, and be able to work a 60-hour schedule for the duration of the project.

What You'll Do

• Build, install, align, brace, and strip concrete forms for foundations, walls, slabs, columns, and other concrete structures.
• Measure and lay out work areas to ensure forms are set to the proper line, grade, elevation, and dimensions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, and project specifications.
• Measure, cut, assemble, and install lumber, plywood, and other formwork materials.
• Assist with concrete placement, pouring, and finishing as needed.
• Assist with rebar installation and placement when required.
• Select the proper materials, tools, and methods needed to complete assigned work.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, saws, and carpentry equipment.
• Inspect and maintain tools and equipment to ensure they remain in safe working condition.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work safely around active construction operations, equipment, and personnel.
• Follow all company, site-specific, OSHA, and lockout/tagout safety procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous form carpentry or concrete formwork experience required.
• Strong ability to read a tape measure and perform accurate layout.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and blueprints.
• Working knowledge of concrete forming methods and construction practices.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools used in form carpentry.
• Ability to work 60 hours per week throughout the project.
• Dependable attendance and ability to report to work as scheduled.
• Ability to perform physically demanding construction work, including lifting, climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Commitment to following all jobsite safety requirements and procedures.
